Grateful for BGC

By |April 4, 2021|Categories: Testimonials|

I am extremely grateful for the classes and support you offer. The virtual yoga helps me stay focused. The rolling classes have been extremely helpful to help me release the tenseness from general life stress. But the thing I am most appreciative of is your approachability and support. At the end of each class you say if we need something to email or text. And when I was in a spot I took you up on that offer and you replied with suggestions that I was able to use to help me through a rough spot.   — Dawn

On Sarah as a Teacher

By |April 4, 2021|Categories: Testimonials|

Join Sarah Pomaro’s Forrest yoga class or any of her wellness programs at Breath Grow Change! Sarah offers so much more than yoga. She offers wellness training one on one, corporate programs, a library of all her classes for you to do at your own pace. Virtual yoga and in person classes, group wellness series, and myofascial release (rolling class, one of my favorites). Anyone on can do it! Many people don’t practice because they are worried about the poses or what others think. Not at Breath Grow Change, Sarah keeps it real! You work at your own pace, you laugh, have fun (maybe throw in a few swear words, you can’t help but too smile and laugh, while you are doing bridge pose), and before you know it you are building strength, flexibility, wisdom, and knowledge. I have been personally working with Sarah for about 5 years now in person and then virtual (due to the pandemic). I felt I had to share her talent with others and the benefits she provides. I recommended Breath Grow Change to my company and she has been doing corporate programs tailored to our organization for a year now. Her transition from in person to virtual was flawless, she always right there with you. I look forward to our virtual time together. She is always keeping her programs fresh and relevant. I buy up all of her classes because I get so much out of them. Many times before class I feel the weight of the world and the pressures of daily life can be overwhelming [...]

Providing Perspective, Love, and Healing

By |April 4, 2021|Categories: Classes, Testimonials|

I’ve practice yoga with Sarah for many years, and I have found Sarah’s virtual yoga classes and rolling classes to be wonderful! Even in a virtual environment, Sarah teaches with the same authenticity and intention and brings her knowledge, compassion, and fantastic sense of humor to each and every class. Sarah is even able to offer guidance with poses in a virtual environment, demonstrating just how insightful she is and how passionate she is about teaching and the level of care she has for her students. Sarah imparts perspective, love, and healing in every class. I am forever grateful for Sarah!   — June

I have tried a variety of yoga classes/teachers over the years but none really "grabbed me" until I started taking Sarah's class. I truly look forward to it!... and I always feel better afterward. It's a wonderful combination of calming and strengthening with an overall emphasis on self-care, which I just love. Thanks, Sarah! ... you got me into yoga! 🙂   — Tracy

Virtual Classes

By |April 3, 2021|Categories: Classes, Testimonials|

I first took a Forest yoga class with Sarah at Prana Yoga Center. I was hooked immediately. Sarah is excellent at adjusting poses to benefit each person’s body. She is also very good with the mental/spiritual side.Getting people out of their heads, changing habits and learning to not push your body but to embrace what it can do. I have also enjoyed her rolling classes. She is really good at releasing the areas that are tense and tight. Gives good cues and you are able to walk away with tips/tricks to do at home. I have moved away from the Chicago area and have really been blessed to practice virtual yoga with Sarah. Even on the computer she can make adjustments, so your pose is beneficial and not painful!   — Jill

Virtual Yoga is a Lifesaver

By |April 3, 2021|Categories: Classes, Testimonials|

Virtual yoga has been a lifesaver! I fell out of practice because with my busy schedule I had a hard time getting to the studio. Thanks to the pandemic (that's a phrase you don't hear very often, ha!) Sarah provided a safe way to give me a much needed outlet to help me cope and de-stress during this difficult time. I look forward to Monday nights and hope she keeps offering these virtual sessions even when it's safe to go back into the yoga studio. She offers a loving, non-threatening environment where yogis of all levels can benefit from her instruction. Sarah is the best!   — Leah

I was a client in Sarah’s wellness program. I was going through some challenges in my life and her program helped me to focus (when I couldn’t focus) and live life more vibrantly. I have been through some big changes over the last 2 years and would it be where I am today with her Wellness program.   — Jill

Debilitating Pain to Gentle Loving-Self

By |April 3, 2021|Categories: Personal Wellness, Testimonials|

I started seeing Sarah for weekly wellness coaching after years of debilitating pain had limited my life to struggling through the workday only to collapse on the couch every evening. Unlike the many medical professionals I had seen in the past, Sarah understood that years of chronic pain, coupled with decades spent immersed in "no pain, no gain" diet/exercise culture had destroyed my confidence and trust in my body's ability to heal. Eighteen months later and my pain is 99% gone, I am building consistent, gentle, healthy activity into my daily life, and best of all, I'm healing my relationship with my body. I attribute my success to working one-on-one with Sarah. Not only is her knowledge of physiology unparalleled, but she understands how to tailor our work to support what I'm dealing with on any given week. In the past, when I went through challenging periods in life, my health would take a backseat. Having Sarah on your team means that you will always have a friend who lovingly and firmly insists that you take a breather and put your health and well-being first.   — Tracy

Moving Through Grief

By |April 3, 2021|Categories: Personal Wellness, Testimonials|

Sarah’s supportive coaching helped me get through a difficult period of grief in my life. Our sessions incorporated breathing and guided meditations that helped me get grounded and present. Sarah knew just the right questions to ask and coaching tools to use in order to help me identify what I most needed to explore and address. We cleared unwanted energy through movement, and she taught me techniques, such as self-massage with therapy balls, to soothe places where I was holding tension in my body. In my experience, she struck the perfect balance between affirming/empathizing and coaching/challenging. I felt seen and guided and also lovingly encouraged to take a more active role in my own wellness and care. A few years later, I continue to “pick up” the tools that she taught me to tap into my own awareness, energy, and agency. She has a vibrant spirit, tons of energy, and an evident love of teaching others to empower themselves. I treasured (and miss!) our time working together and cannot recommend her coaching strongly enough   — Amanda

Moving On, But Not Away

By |April 3, 2021|Categories: On-Demand, Testimonials|

After enjoying in person classes for several years with Sarah, I moved to a new state after retiring from teaching. That move included two separate moves within 2 months. Having the ability to do the virtual classes with her On Demand, kept me sane and practicing during that time. Since then, I have not really had a definite schedule, and I love how I can pick out one of her classes and do it any time that fits into my week. Sarah’s directions on these virtual classes are very straightforward and her sense of humor comes through loud and clear. Sometimes I find myself chuckling out loud. I miss my yoga community of teachers and being together weekly with them, but having the consistency of virtual Sarah in my life has made all the difference. I am so appreciative of her talents and ability to communicate clearly the goals for the class and lead me through the moves to achieve that goal. I can tell you that I definitely practice more now, with the On Demand classes, than I ever did before. Increased flexibility is the key with On Demand!   — Maggie
